Amsterdam Wine Festival
“The best in the field of the international wines, combined with the finest ingredients, also coming from the country of origin and of course music.”

The Amsterdam Wine Festival (AWF) shall take place twice a year in the Gashouder which is located at the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam. The first edition will take place from the 22th till the 24th of March 2017. During the Harvest Fest in March, the southern hemisphere is emphasised. The second edition will take place during the Harvest Fest in October, where the northern hemisphere is highlighted. At Harvest Fest, farmers celebrate the fact that the grapes have been gathered safely and that the process of wine-making is able to begin. We’re about to celebrate this with them!

During the Amsterdam Wine Festival, the wine-partners are being segmented by country and complemented by matching dishes from accomplished chefs. These wine-partners are for example wine importers, wineries and brands of wine throughout the world. Each wine-partner will provide something extra during the event, such as workshops, winemakers’ dinners or a tasting.

The food will be taken care for by local heroes. This means that the food will be correlated to the cultures from these different regions. A lot of “braai” meat from South-Africa and typical “asado” dishes from South- America, lamb and mussels from New-Zealand and Kangaroo from Australia in March. In September the menu will be filled with classical Mediterranean dishes from France, Italy and Spain.
