The Dutch Ice Sculpture Festival

The biggest winter event in the Netherlands will be held in Amsterdam this year!
The Dutch Ice Sculpture Festival attracts more than 150.000 visitors and is therefore the biggest winter event in the Netherlands. The event will take place from Saturday the 10th of December 2016 till Sunday the 5th of February 2017 in the Arena Boulevard in Amsterdam. A unique event for young and old and an exciting day out during the Christmas holidays.

World’s greatest Ice Sculpture come to the Netherlands
More than 40 of the world’s best ice-sculptors head over to the Netherlands in November to present their creations. The ice sculptors share 16 nationalities and within weeks create breath-taking snow- and Ice Sculpture and extravagant winter-themed worlds.

“Music Inspires”
The theme for the Dutch Ice Sculpture Festival 2016-2017 is ‘Music Inspires’. World famous artists, music genres, music instruments, composers and musicians will be chipped out of glistering snow and crispy clear ice. In combination with special effects, Ice Sculpture with a height up to 6 meters, weighing more than 275.000 kilos of ice, 275.000 kilos of snow and a temperature of -10°C will be brought to life.
